Drug Proof Your Kids is a six week course run by Care For the Family, a national charity based in Taff’s Well. Run by a professional trainer, the course covers many aspects of parenting, drug awareness and how to cope if your child becomes involved in substance misuse.

According to recent research, around 11% of 11-15 year olds take drugs on a monthly basis and 22% of the same groups drink alcohol every week. In addition, they have  the highest pregnancy rate in western Europe. *

Drug Proof Your Kids will enable parents to:

• Become better informed about current drug use and related harm

• Develop strategies to help their children make informed choices about drug use

• Spend time examining their own beliefs and attitudes

• Gain community information and access to support
