The Alpha Course

If you are undecided you are welcome to come along to the Twyn Community Centre at 5.30 on 25 September when we will be giving out more information about the course.

Who is it for?
The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers and each course is open to everyone who would like to attend.

How does it work?

The course is based around small groups of about 12 people, hosted by one or two leaders whose role is to facilitate and encourage discussion.

The whole course lasts for 10 weeks, with a Saturday or Sunday away in the middle. This term we are meeting at the Twyn Community Centre on Sundays and will be aiming to fit each session into an hour and a half. After coffee and cake there will be a short DVD, which looks at a different aspect of the Christian faith each week.This is followed by a time of discussion in the small groups, where everyone is welcome to contribute their opinion, ask questions and discuss with the rest of the group.

The emphasis is upon exploration and discovery in a relaxed and informal environment.
What does it cost? There is no charge for attending the Alpha course. 
What are the dates of the next course?

Our current Alpha course is running from 2 October and will run each Sunday evening for 10 weeks. There will be an "Away Day" on a Saturday or Sunday in  November from 10:00 to 3:00 with lunch included.
